The Learning Circle Childcare Centres is a mixed early education provider committed to fostering a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of our students. We are currently seeking a full-time Early Childhood Educator to join our team in supporting the growth and development of young children. The successful candidate will plan and implement age-appropriate activities and lesson plans, observe and document children's development, and communicate regularly with families about their children's progress. They will work collaboratively with other team members to create a positive and inclusive learning environment and comply with all BC Licensing regulations and standards. We are looking for a dependable, enthusiastic, and warm-hearted person who is passionate about working with children and committed to their ongoing learning and development.

Varies within the hours of 7:30 am and 5:30 pm

Wage:

Ranges between $19 per hour - $21 per hour dependent on certification and experience; Please note that this range is EXCLUDING the $6 BC Wage Enhancement which will be received by candidates for each hour worked.

Responsibilities:

Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and lesson plans. Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy classroom environment. Observe and document children's development and progress. Communicate regularly with families about their children's progress and any concerns. Collaborate with other team members to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Comply with BC child care license regulations Develop and implement child care programs that support and promote children's physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development. Organize activities, including telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and providing opportunities for creative expression. Guide and assist children in developing good eating, dressing, and toileting habits. Observe children daily for signs of potential learning and assess their ongoing interests to incorporate them into programs. Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required. Yoga experience or knowledge is an asset. Knowledge of French, Spanish, and Sign Language is an asset.

Qualifications:

Valid BC Early Childhood Educator License. Valid Emergency Childcare First Aid certificate that meets the requirements of BC child care license regulations. Strong team player. Passion for learning, growing as a Teacher and teaching children.
