Job Overview

This is a casual position. I need someone to come into my home based daycare 1-2 days a month, 8 hour days.

I also need someone for 6 days from Mar.2nd - 10th(weekdays only) while I have Surgery

You must have ECE certificate, Criminal Record check, Fluent in English, First Aid and minimum 1 year experience.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Education (ECE) substitute to join our team. This role involves providing quality care and educational support to young children in an early childhood setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, experience in classroom environments, and the ability to adapt to various classroom needs. Duties

Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and activities that promote learning and development. Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety at all times. Support children with their individual needs, including those with disabilities or special requirements. Engage children in educational games, arts and crafts, and social interactions to foster growth and curiosity. Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, adhering to health and safety standards. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to support a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere. Assist with meal times, nap routines, and other daily caregiving responsibilities as needed.

Skills

Prior classroom experience working with young children is preferred. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus. Strong teaching skills with the ability to create engaging learning experiences. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices. Compassionate caregiving skills combined with patience and understanding. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members, children, and families. Ability to adapt quickly to changing classroom dynamics and individual child needs. This position is vital in supporting the growth and development of young learners in a caring and professional environment.
