We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled individual to join our team in a dual-capacity role. You will provide high-quality early childhood education while serving as a key resource for the health and safety of our children. This role is ideal for a
Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or retired nurse
who has transitioned into Early Childhood Education and wants to combine their clinical expertise with a passion for child development.
Key Responsibilities
Educational Delivery:
Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum (play-based learning) that supports social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
Medical Oversight:
Monitor children with chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, severe allergies, Type 1 diabetes, or seizure disorders).
Health & Safety Leadership:
Act as the primary point of contact for medical emergencies, first aid, and the administration of medications.
Policy Development:
Assist in refining health-related protocols, sanitization standards, and allergy-aware meal planning.
Parent Partnership:
Communicate with families regarding health updates, developmental milestones, and individualized care plans.
Required Qualifications & Skills
ECE Certification:
Valid ECE (Early Childhood Educator) or ECEA (Assistant) license/registration.
Nursing Background:
Current or former Nursing designation (RN, LPN, RPN) or equivalent medical training.
First Aid:
Valid Pediatric First Aid and CPR Level C.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years working with children in a group setting or a pediatric clinical environment.
Soft Skills:
High emotional intelligence, ability to remain calm under pressure, and a "learning through play" philosophy.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
