Job Summary:

Khalsa Childcare Centre - Abbotsford Campus is seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, and responsible

ECE Assistant

to join our dedicated team on a

part-time

basis. The successful candidate will support lead educators in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children, with a specific focus on working closely with a child with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities. Work one-on-one or in small groups with a child with special needs, supporting their individual developmental goals. Supervise and ensure the safety of all children at all times. Support the emotional, physical, and social development of children. Guide children in appropriate behavior and conflict resolution. Help maintain a clean and organized classroom environment. Assist with meals, hygiene routines, and nap times as needed. Communicate effectively with staff and parents. Follow all licensing regulations and Centre policies.

Qualifications:

Valid

ECE Assistant Certificate

from the BC ECE Registry. Valid

First Aid and CPR certification

. Clear

Criminal Record Check

. Previous experience in a licensed childcare setting and/or working with children with special needs is an asset. Strong communication and teamwork skills. A warm, nurturing, and patient approach to childcare. Must be

young, active, and energetic

, able to meet the physical demands of supporting a child with special needs.

Pay:

$22/hour

Pay: $21.00-$22.00 per hour
