We're looking for a Superintendent who knows civil earthworks inside and out -- someone who can balance safety, production, and people while leading multiple crews through subdivision, roadbuilding, and base preparation projects across the Grande Prairie region.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll take ownership of project performance, oversee three foremen and their crews, and ensure every job meets our high standards for quality, safety, and efficiency. This is a year-round position offering stability, autonomy, and the chance to help develop the next generation of field leaders in a growing region.

How You'll Add Value

Champion safety, quality, and production -- making sure every site runs safely and efficiently Manage and coordinate grading projects including residential subdivisions, roadbuilding, and base preparation for paving contracts Build trust with your foremen and crews, fostering accountability, teamwork, and open communication Review contracts, drawings, and scopes to ensure all work aligns with specifications Oversee field crews, equipment, and subcontractors to deliver projects safely, on time, and on budget Manage winter operations during the off-season, which include: Lead snow clearing operations and oilfield/lease roadwork for the energy sector Participate in pre-tender meetings and work planning for upcoming projects Assist estimating teams by sharing practical field insight for next season's bids

What You Bring

10+ years of construction experience with at least 5 years in a supervisory or superintendent role, ideally in civil grading or municipal projects Strong understanding of drawings, contracts, and specifications Experience managing multiple foremen and large, diverse teams (up to 30 operators) Proven ability to deliver on production targets while maintaining top-tier safety standards Collaborative leadership style -- approachable, organized, and respected on-site Valid Class 5 Driver's License and a Driver's Abstract showing no more than 6 demerits and no major infractions
