As an Earthworks Foreman at Curbinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of earthworks projects, including site preparation, excavation, grading, and other related tasks. You will manage a team of skilled workers, ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards, and maintain clear communication with project managers and clients.
Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise earthworks teams on construction sites, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to project specifications.
Oversee excavation, grading, and site preparation, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.
Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure proper execution of work.
Monitor crew performance and provide guidance, training, and support as needed.
Coordinate the daily activities of equipment operators, laborers, and subcontractors to ensure efficient operations and target productions are achieved.
Ensure all safety protocols are followed and work environments are compliant with regulations.
Manage site logistics, including scheduling and coordinating equipment and materials.
Maintain quality control and resolve any issues or obstacles that arise on-site.
Communicate regularly with project managers and clients to provide updates on progress and any potential challenges.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in earthworks, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Strong knowledge of earthworks operations, equipment, and construction methods.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications.
Solid understanding of safety regulations and best practices on construction sites.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to quality.
