Overview:
Foreman Earthworks Fort McMurray
Sureway Construction is one of Albertas largest heavy construction contractors, involved in; civil earthworks and grading, utilities and offsite, mine operation and aggregate extraction.

Job Type: Full Time, Seasonal
Schedule: 10+ hours per day, 6 & 1, OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week
Location: Fort McMurray and Surrounding Areas - no direct access to public transportation
Essential: Hard-working, reliable, flexible with schedule, ability to work in physically demanding conditions

Requirements:

• Personal Reliable Vehicle
• CSA approved steel toed boots with 6 ankle support
• Clean Drivers Abstract, Valid Drivers License

Pre-employment:

• Drug and alcohol testing (swab-based test or urine-based test)
• Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation

Foreman - Earthworks Responsibilities:

• Oversee, supervise and manage crew, including equipment operators and labourers
• Ensure schedules and timelines are met
• Work with project management to schedule and coordinate tasks

• Ensure equipment is maintained at the highest standards, in a timely manner
• Promote, execute and adhere to the companys safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture

Foreman - Earthworks Qualifications:

• Minimum five (5) years Civil or Earthworks Foreman.
• In depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OHS guidelines.
• Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints.
• Excellent organizational and leadership with the ability to communicate and report effectively.
• Recognizes and understands the safe operation of heavy equipment and material handling.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Must be a team player.
• Committed to working in a safe and efficient manner.
