EarlyON Child and Family Centres are places where parents, caregivers and, children build strong relationships with each other and connect with other families and EarlyON professionals. Offering a variety of programs and services that meet the unique needs of children and families in an inclusive environment. We provide resources and workshops with up-to-date information for all stages of family life, from preconception and prenatal care to nutrition, toilet training, toddler curiosity, and early school experiences.
What you'll do
Deliver the EarlyON Core services through developmental program planning
Participate with the children, caregivers, and families in a positive and supportive manner
Refer families to appropriate community services and resources based on their needs
Facilitate both child and parent education workshops
Support and work as part of a staff/volunteer team
Maintain a safe, diverse, and stimulating physical environment within the centre
Enter monthly stats for the Region of Niagara
Manage weekly scheduling for staff
Recruitment and interview new staff for the centre
Manage petty cash
Attend regional EarlyOn meetings and workshops
Preferred qualifications
Early Childhood Education Diploma or related diploma/degree
Minimum 2 years' experience working with children and families
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and oral
Flexibility, relationship building, and problem-solving skills
Transportation is an asset
Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification will be required upon hire
Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
