The Opportunity:
The EarlyON Program Facilitator is responsible for planning and facilitating programs for families, caregivers, and children from birth to six years of age. The role involves creating interactive and engaging play base experiences that foster early childhood development while connecting families with community resources.
Key Responsibilities:
Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for children and families.
Ensure adherence to Health and Safety Guidelines, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in program spaces, including sanitization of toys, equipment, and facilities.
Design and implement developmentally appropriate programs, including interactive play-based learning activities for children and educational opportunities for caregivers.
Develop creative themes for crafts, storytelling, and other hands-on activities.
Facilitate satellite programs in various community locations.
Maintain an updated community resource catalog, assisting families in accessing support services and referrals.
Provide guidance and mentorship to students and volunteers involved in the programs.
Support families in transitioning into other MFRC programs as appropriate.
Participate actively in team meetings, staff training, and professional development opportunities.
Report maintenance concerns and submit written reports as required.
Follow program policies and procedures in compliance with relevant legislation.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager/Supervisor.
Qualifications & Skills:
Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE).
Registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators (RECE) (must be registered upon start).
Minimum six months of experience working with young children and families.
Current Standard First Aid & CPR Level C certification.
Valid driver's license and access to a car (preferred).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic administrative skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
Demonstrated commitment to anti-racism, equity, and inclusion.
A second language is an asset.
Availability to work evenings.
Terms of Employment
Salary: $45,000-$50,000
Benefits: 100% employer-paid benefits, three weeks of paid vacation, three personal days, sick days (after probation), and additional paid time off over the holiday break.
Hours: Full-time contract position (37.5 hours per week).
Contract Term: November 2025 - January 31, 2027 (maternity leave coverage).
