Lead Educator

Certification Level 2 or Level 3-

Shift: 8:00 - 5:00pm (1 hour unpaid break)

Richmond daycare is seeking an experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team

.

We provide care for 19months - 6 years old, located in the SW.

Skills and qualifications you have:

Experience working with children aged 19 months - 6 years old. Enthusiastic, engaging and a passion for working with children. A flexible and positive attitude that is adaptable to change, stress, and daily challenges Ability to take the initiative and get things completed in a timely manner Must be reliable and responsible Knowledgeable with Early Learning and Child Care Regulation and Act Early Childhood Educator Certificate (Level 2) OR Diploma/Degree (Level 3) (

REQUIRED

) Current First Aid Certificate - level B (

Preferred or willing to obtain

) Calgary Police background check with vulnerable sector search completed within the last 6 months (

Job description

Observations, planning and implementing programming

Setting up classroom activities and materials, based on planning and observations

Work cooperatively as a member of the childcare team, facilitating a team environment through personal behaviour, work contributions, and the sharing of expertise and knowledge

Provide effective supervision, support classroom routines, and maintain behavioural expectations with children

Assist children with self-help skills, including feeding, toileting, and diapering.

Cultivating relationships with children, parents, and guardians.

Serving meals and snacks.

Ensure classroom or play environment is kept sanitary and implement a cleaning schedule

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
