The Kumon Unionville - Kennedy & 16th Centre is currently the largest Kumon math and reading learning centre in the Canada. Job Responsibilities:

Assist students with their classwork regarding phonetics, number sense and number sequence Answer students' questions relating to their work assignments Communicate with parents regarding their child's classroom performance Address parental concerns regarding their child's progress Assist with main class classwork grading when necessary Grade all students' homework and record scores quickly and accurately Maintain a positive learning environment Help keep the centre tidy and read for class, and Perform other administrative duties as needed

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Requirements:

Strong Math and English aptitude Passion for working with young children Effective communication skills with young children Positive attitude and professional demeanor Strong multi-tasking and job prioritization skills Ability to work afternoons/early evenings and weekends (2-3 times/week) Degree or prospective degree in Early Childhood Development is an asset Previous Kumon assistant or student experience is an asset Previous tutoring experience with young children is an asset For easy commute, applicants from York University Markham campus is preferred
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.60-$18.50 per hour
