About us Playshare Preschool is a small non profit society in Penticton, BC. Our goal is to provide an unique play based early childhood program in a calm and welcoming classroom.. We are looking for a qualified, experienced candidate with a passion for teaching and developing children to work in our organization. The successful candidate will have a background in early childhood education and a real commitment to building relationships and fostering the growth of our children. Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers.
- Demonstrate compassion toward children and their caretakers.
- Maintain high-quality learning environments.
- Adhere to the Child Care Development Block Grant, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, and other governmental regulations.
- Provide a foundation for lifelong learning.
- Contribute to the organization of early care and education settings.
- Work effectively as part of a team.
- Recognize parent and community needs for early care and education services.
- Provide quality care for children from birth to six years old.
- Introduce school-aged children to topics such as science, physical development, math, art, music, and language arts.
Part-time hours: 25 per week Salary: $20.00-$24.00 per hour Flexible Language Requirement:
- French not required
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Overtime pay
- Penticton, BC V2A 5C9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
- BC Early Childhood Educator Certificate (required)
