The Arc Children's Centre is a new childcare facility located just east of Wyoming Ontario. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our team! The ideal candidate is someone with who is either experienced or inexperienced and has a passion for working with children. This role involves working collaboratively with children to create engaging lesson plans, managing classroom activities, and supporting the developmental needs of children. Since our facility follows a child-led approach to learning, the Early Childhood Educator for this role will need to understand and follow the same child-led approach and be comfortable with children taking the reins in the classroom.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with children to implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development.
Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment for all children and staff.
Utilize effective time management skills to organize daily activities and ensure smooth transitions between tasks.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships.
Demonstrate leadership by guiding classroom assistants and volunteers in their roles.
Maintain an organized classroom that reflects the learning objectives and engages children.
Requirements
Early Childhood Educator Diploma
OR
a Degree in an Educational Field is Required
CPR-C and First Aid Certification Required
Vulnerable Sector Check Required Upon Hiring
Excellent organizational skills to manage classroom resources effectively.
Proficiency in English both oral and written
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with children, parents, and staff.
A passion for teaching young children and fostering their growth in a supportive environment.
