Contract length: 2 months Pay: $21.71-$32.90 per hour Expected hours: No less than 35 per week Benefits:
- Work collaboratively with team to implement Reggio-inspired programming that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
- Provide care and guidance to ensure the safety and well-being of children
- Encourage curiosity and exploration through hands-on learning experiences in the natural environment, fostering children\'s understanding and appreciation of the outdoors
- Lead activities by telling and reading stories, teaching songs, and exploring local points of interest with children via walking and/or city transit
- Provide opportunities to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
- Plan and maintain an environment (indoors and outdoors) that protects the health, security and well-being of children
- Experienced working with children (ages: 6 - 12 yrs)
- Passionate and respectful of nature
- Creative and adaptable (emergent curriculum and various weather conditions)
- Team player + excellent communicator
- Experienced in environmental education or nature-based programming preferred
- Position is summer only.
- Applicants must be available July 1 - August 28 2024 (Mon - Fri, excluding holidays)
- Early Childhood Educator Diploma
- Level 3 - ECE Certification
- Standard First Aid + CPR (must be valid for July + August 2024)
- Criminal Record Check
- TB Screening Test
- Immunization Records
- References from previous employment preferred

- On-site parking
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
