Job Summary:

New Leaf Daycare Centre is seeking a dedicated One-on-One Support Early Childhood Educator to work directly with an individual child requiring personalized care and learning support. Initially the work will be 3 - months and may extend to 3 years. The ideal candidate will have proven understanding or experience in personal program planning, individualized developmental curriculum, and implementing targeted strategies to support a child's unique learning and developmental needs.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct one-on-one support to an assigned child, ensuring their safety, engagement, and developmental progress.

Design and implement individualized program plans and developmental curriculum tailored to the child's abilities, goals, and needs.

Monitor, observe, and assess the child's progress regularly to adjust programming as required.

Collaborate with parents, colleagues, and external professionals (as applicable) to support overall development.

Support social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through personalized activities.

Maintain accurate documentation of the child's daily participation, developmental milestones, progress, and any incidents.

Communicate progress, observations, and strategies consistently with parents and the daycare team.

Participate in team meetings and contribute to the wider daycare environment when appropriate.

Engage in professional development related to individualized programming, inclusion practices, and developmental education.

Requirements:

2-year diploma in Early Childhood Education.

Certified by the Ministry of Saskatchewan with Level 3 equivalency.

Demonstrated experience working one-on-one with children requiring individual program planning or developmental support.

Strong understanding of child development and individualized curriculum design.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with parents and team members.

Compassionate, patient, and skilled in supporting children with diverse needs.

Strong organization and documentation abilities.

Able to work independently while integrating as part of a supportive team.

CPR & First Aid certification required.

Police Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening required upon hire.

Must have legal status to work in Canada.
