Early Childhood Educators to join our

Crestmont location - 40 Crestridge Common SW.

This position is full time Monday-Friday. Candidates must be able to work any shift between 7:00am and 5:30pm.

We are hiring candidates for both

float

and

classroom

positions.

Float educators

will work in a variety of classrooms to support during busy activities, transitions, and provide break coverage.

Classroom educators

are assigned to a regular classroom where they will implement developmentally-appropriate activities.

Qualifications

Level 2 or 3 certification, OR Level 1 certification with 2 years experience in licensed child care Valid Criminal Record Check w/ Vulnerable Sector check (within past 6 months) First Aid and CPR certification Two professional references

Required Attributes and Skills

Good physical strength (able to lift up to 50 lbs) Caring and respectful attitude toward all persons Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability Strong sense of responsibility and dependability Judgement and initiative in the early identification of program needs

Desired Attributes and Skills

Knowledge of a variety of early childhood education philosophies, such as Montessori, Reggio Emilia/emergent, and High Scope

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Provide a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for children aged 9 months to 6 years old Support social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of children in alignment with the program philosophy and objectives Take a leadership role in the classroom and provide excellent supervision and interaction with children at all times Strong sense of responsibility and dependability Ensure a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and other staff members
