Bean Sprouts Childcare Co-op (BSCC) is an Early Childhood Education centre that operates as a nonprofit, parent-guided Cooperative.

We are currently hiring the following position:

- (1) Full-time Level 1 or 2 Early Childhood Educator

Successful candidates will be required to provide employer with a criminal record and vulnerability check and standard First Aid & CPR certificate.

Duties include:

Developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children. Leading activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, taking children to local points of interest and providing opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity. Planning and maintaining an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children. Assessing the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members. Observing children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor. Guiding and assisting children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits. Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children. Other duties as assigned.

Pay: $20.50-$25.06 per hour
