Responsibilities

Maintain documentation, reporting, and record keeping Implement an emergent curriculum Support children's emotional, physical, and behavioral well-being while fostering cognitive, emotional, and social development Conduct attendance and health and safety checks Collaborate with external professionals (e.g., Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Early Interventionists) Support children during classroom transitions Participate in team meetings and professional development workshops

Qualifications

Valid British Columbia ECE/IT License Current Criminal Record Check Valid Child Care First Aid & CPR Up-to-date immunizations Ability to lift/push/pull up to 45 pounds

Skills & Competencies

Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills with children, families, and coworkers Proficient in basic computer systems for documentation and classroom operations Collaborative team player with a proactive mindset Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
