Founded in 1901, Hillfield Strathallan College (HSC) offers a seamless academic journey from 18 months to 18 years. Located on a 50-acre campus on Hamilton's West Mountain, HSC provides a unique educational pathway for students through four school offerings: Junior, Montessori, Middle and Senior. HSC prepares students to live with purpose - to understand their world, inspire, lead, act and make a difference in their own unique ways.

Registered Early Childhood Educator - Montessori School

We are currently recruiting for a Registered Early Childhood Educator to start immediately in our Montessori School. Please note that this is a 12 month position as we have summer programming.


Position Overview:


Join our team of passionate educators dedicated to providing exceptional care and education to young children. As an Early Childhood Educator (ECE), you will collaborate with classroom teachers to deliver programs that enhance children's cognitive, physical, social, spiritual, and emotional development. Your creativity, empathy, and expertise will make a difference in the lives of children and families.


Under the Direction of the Principal, the early childhood educator will partner with other RECE's to plan and implement a full day learning program within a Toddler classroom setting.

Provide a happy, safe and stimulating environment Instill a love of learning Ensure positive and professional communications with faculty, staff and families Take a proactive approach to health and safety




Qualifications:







2 year community college Early Childhood Education Diploma with experience in a childcare or educational setting; Montessori Training and experience considered an asset Member in Good Standing with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators; Experience working with toddlers and preschool aged children; Experience in planning and implementing age appropriate programs; Knowledge of the Childcare & Early Years Act Ability to communicate in a professional manner with children, parents, staff and the general public; Valid First Aid/CPR and immunization records
