Aspire Richmond offers a continuum of care throughout the lifespan of an individual with a disability. This includes early intervention supports for infants and children, child and youth care, adult day and residential services, employment options and more.

Early Childhood Educator (Full-Time 37.5 hours weekly) - Richmond, BC



Starting wage $25.95-$26.83 per hour (plus an additional $4 per hour from Government wage enhancement program)

YOUR IMPACT:



Supervise children and ensure equipment and physical environment is free of health and safety hazards.

Encourage independence, problem solving skills, and active learning to build self-esteem in an inclusive and respectful environment.

Demonstrate positive adult/child interaction using effective and appropriate communication with children.

YOUR CAPABILITIES

:

Early Childhood Education Certificate, with over three years of experience supporting children and families, including those with special needs

Post-Basic Special Needs Certification, with valuable experience supporting children requiring additional assistance will be considered a strong asset.

Knowledge and understanding of British Columbia's Early Learning Framework (ELF)

Demonstrated excellence in written, verbal, and nonverbal communication

Demonstrated ability and experience to deliver inclusive programming with a sensitivity to people from diverse cultural, health and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Holds current certification in CPR and First Aid.

A clear and current Criminal Records Check is required.
