We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our vibrant educational team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for school age children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires a commitment to providing high-quality education and care, ensuring that each child feels valued and supported in their learning journey.
We are located with in an elementary school. Our program has 3 separate rooms by age group. This position is for a kinder/grade 1&2 age room. Our team is light hearted, fun and we love to be on the go and give kids great experiences.
Center offers a benefit package after probation and 12 sick days per year and 1 personal day per year. Planning time while kids are at school during school year. Pension plan is also offered after probation aswell.

Duties
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration.
Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment for all children.
Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians.
Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues to support community engagement.
Encourage children's independence and self-regulation through structured activities.
Maintain a clean, organized classroom that reflects the children's work and interests.
Collaborate with other room staff to enhance curriculum delivery and share best practices.
Inclusion support is part of our program as we have children that require additional help. Be experienced in working with different behaviours like ODD and OCD, reactive attachment disorder. Also experience with autism and ADHD is asset as well. Implementing the plan set out with inclusion staff and open communication with parents, attending meeting for inclusion support etc.
Experience
An Early Childhood Education level 2 classification is mandatory
Previous experience working with school age children is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
Experience planning outings an asset.
2 plus years being a room lead ECE is highly preferable
Ability to train and or positively direct other staff in the room
