Job Description

We're a small daycare looking for a level 1 early childhood educator to work Monday to Friday at our Bowness location. We're licensed for one group of 16 children and the majority of children are between 3 and 5 years old.

Wage is $17/hr + top-up.

Shifts are from Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Some of the daily job duties include

Getting children ready to go outside. Helping with the activity/craft. Helping children in the washroom. Reading to children. Light cleaning after snack/lunch. (Sweep and wipe down tables.) Communicating with parents during pickup/dropoff. Serving children their food that they bring from home (2 snacks and a lunch). End of day cleaning.
A broad overview of our summer schedule is:

6:30 - 9:15 - Drop offs/free play.
9:15 - 9:45 - Snack
9:45 - 11:30 - Circle Time, Activity/Craft, Outdoor Time (if there's enough time)
11:30 - 12:30 - Lunch/Book Reading/Get Ready for Quiet Time
12:30 - 2:10 - Quiet Time
2:10 - 3:00 - Snack/Get Read to go Outside
3:00 - 6:00 - Play Outside/Outdoor Activities/Pickups

Apart from having your level 1 certification, successful candidates require an up to date police clearance check with vulnerable sector search and first aid certification (Level B). You must also be able to speak english well and live in Calgary.
