Are you passionate about early learning and making a difference in the lives of young children? We're looking for a caring, experienced, and energetic Early Childhood Educator to join our Pre-Kindergarten team for an assignment at Ochre Park School.
As an ECE, you'll help shape safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environments where every child is supported to grow and thrive. Working closely with a certificated teacher and a team of Educational Assistants, you'll lead meaningful activities, foster development, and support children with unique learning needs.
What You'll Do:
Lead daily routines and play-based learning activities
Create a warm, welcoming space where children feel safe and supported
Collaborate with educators, families, and specialists to support each child's individual learning goals
Guide and mentor Educational Assistants in the classroom
Help children with personal care needs in a respectful and supportive way
Communicate regularly with families about their child's progress
Support children with complex needs using positive behavior strategies
Keep the classroom running smoothly, safely, and within budget
What You Bring:
Level 3 Early Childhood Educator Certification (Alberta or equivalent)
5+ years of experience in early learning settings
Knowledge of child development, curriculum, and inclusive practices
Experience supporting children with diverse needs and behaviors
Current First Aid certification
Clear Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check
Qualification Assets:
TCIS (Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Schools) training
Experience with ABLLS-R or Creative Curriculum
Bilingual or ESL support experience

Hourly Rate:$28.10- $34.04 as per hour as per the CUPE Collective Agreement
