Job Summary

Bay River Day Care needs a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. This role involves educating children, creating lesson plans, and supporting their developmental milestones while ensuring a safe and inclusive classroom atmosphere.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development in various domains including cognitive, social, emotional, and physical. Educate children through play-based learning activities that encourage exploration and creativity. Create a welcoming classroom environment that supports diversity and inclusion, particularly for children with disabilities. Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents or guardians on their development. Foster positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues to create a supportive community. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom that meets health and safety standards. Collaborate with other educators to enhance the overall educational experience for children.

Qualifications

Alberta Child Care Certification (required) (Level 2 or Level 3) Experience working with young children in a classroom setting is essential. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and staff. Ability to create an inclusive environment for all students. Passion for care giving and nurturing the growth of young learners. Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching are key attributes for success in this role.

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
