We are looking for an experienced and passionate Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) who is deeply committed to providing exceptional early learning experiences in a warm, inclusive, and structured environment. This role calls for someone who brings both pedagogical strength and emotional intelligence, who can guide a developmentally appropriate yet academically rich program that reflects the unique values and vision of LVA. As part of a collaborative team, you will lead your classroom in delivering a high-quality program that incorporates play-based learning, early reading strategies (including UFli), nature-based education, mindfulness practices, and intentional family engagement. You will also be responsible for short- and long-term planning, observations, formal reporting, and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum & Daily Programming
-Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate programming aligned with How Does Learning Happen? and the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA)
-Implement UFli (University of Florida Literacy Institute) early literacy strategies
-Integrate academic skills, mindfulness, emotional labelling, and physical activity into the daily routine
-Lead full-day Outdoor Education Days and enrich the classroom with frequent nature-based learning
Inclusive & Responsive Practice
-Ensure activities reflect the cultural identities of the children in your care
-Collaborate with families to build classroom community and support each child's development
-Promote independence, confidence, and self-esteem through intentional routines and interactions
Assessment & Documentation
-Complete developmental observations and formal report cards assessing student growth
-Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with Ministry and school policies
-Share weekly and long-term plans with families and administration
Professional Engagement
-Attend all Open Houses, community events, and meetings (including occasional evenings/weekends)
-Participate in mandatory professional development (assigned and self-directed)
-Model kindness, leadership, and responsible citizenship for students
Other Duties
-Ensure students are in full uniform each day and reinforce the importance of belonging and community pride
-Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating classroom environment
-Collaborate with colleagues and administration as part of a unified, professional team

Pay: $57,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
