Job Overview

Precious Minds Daycare is a licensed family child care home license group providing childcare services for up to 12 children. We are seeking a

reliable and dedicated Early Childhood Educator

to support daily childcare operations and provide a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for young children.

The successful candidate will work closely with children, families, and the daycare operator to support children's

social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development

, in accordance with Saskatchewan childcare licensing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and care for children in a safe and supportive environment Plan and implement

age-appropriate activities

that promote early learning and development Support children's daily routines including play, meals, rest, and hygiene Observe children's development and report concerns or progress to the daycare operator Maintain a clean, organized, and safe childcare space at all times Communicate respectfully and professionally with parents regarding children's needs and progress Assist children with additional needs by adapting activities when required Follow all childcare policies, health and safety standards, and provincial regulations Participate in ongoing training and professional development as required

Qualifications & Requirements

Early Childhood Education (ECE) Level I

or higher

or willingness to obtain

as required by Saskatchewan childcare licensing Experience working with young children in a childcare or early learning environment is preferred Knowledge of early childhood development is an asset Ability to work independently and as part of a small childcare team Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills Ability to pass required background checks (criminal record check and vulnerable sector check) Willingness to complete mandatory childcare training and certifications as required

Do you hold a valid Early Childhood Education (ECE) certification or are you eligible to work as an ECE Assistant in Saskatchewan? Are you willing and able to obtain and maintain required clearances (Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check)? Do you have at least 1.5 year of experience working in a licensed childcare or daycare setting? Are you available to work full-time (approximately 35 hours per week) on day shifts? Have you worked with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children in a licensed childcare setting? Are you physically able to perform duties such as lifting children, standing for long periods, and active supervision? Are you able to reliably commute to the job location in Saskatoon? Are you able to start work as soon as possible?
Education:

AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
Experience:

ECE / Childcare: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
