Job Description

Victor Play Centre is looking to add an ECE 2 to work with our Preschool and School Age children. Must have experience working with these age groups and able to plan and implement activities both indoors and outdoors for the children. This is a full time, straight shift, permanent position but can be a Part Time Position as well working a minimum of 15 hrs/week. Must be available between 730am-500pm (hours will be between these times). We do not rotate shifts! We are licensed for 46 children, ages 2-12 and are located downtown near the Health Science Centre. Pay will start at $19.53 (if you have under 2 years experience as an ECE 2 and up to $25 depending on experience and qualifications). We have an amazing team of staff and looking for someone who fits well into our centre. This position has a flexible start date.

The candidate must have a passion for working with Preschool and up to School Age children and engaging in their play and learning. The candidate must have strong leadership and planning skills to guide the staff in our programming. The candidate must be responsible, reliable and have a strong work ethic! The candidate will be responsible for Preschool children and School Age children. Candidates must have their ECE 2 classification, current First Aid and CPR certificate, clear a Criminal Record and Child Abuse Check and Vulnerable Sector Search. Will consider an ECE 2 in training. The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently and be a team player, the ability to adapt and be flexible, have excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, knowledge of menu planning, and be familiar with the provincial licensing manual. Must be able to speak and understand English.
