Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for fostering a nurturing and educational environment for young children. You will work closely with children, parents, and staff to support the developmental needs of each child, ensuring they receive the best possible care and education. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills in English and Spanish , have experience in childcare or special education, and be comfortable working with individuals with exceptionalities.

Duties

Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programs that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and ensure a supportive learning environment. Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their development and communicating findings with parents and staff. Provide support to children with special needs or disabilities, adapting activities to meet their unique requirements. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Collaborate with other educators to create a cohesive curriculum that aligns with developmental standards. Utilize technology to document student progress and communicate with families effectively. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current on best practices in early childhood education.

Requirements

Diploma in Early Childhood Education preferred; relevant experience may be considered. Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable. Experience in childcare or special education settings is preferred. Ability to write clear reports and documentation regarding children's progress. Proficient computer skills for documentation and communication purposes. A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their growth.

Pay: $16.75-$19.00 per hour
