Job Summary


We are seeking passionate and experienced Early Childhood Education (ECE) Instructors to join our academic team. The successful candidates will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students who aspire to become Early Childhood Educators (ECE) and Early Childhood Education Assistants (ECEA) . The instructors will deliver a curriculum that emphasizes the development of professional skills, child development theory, and practical knowledge essential for working in early learning environments.

Duties



Deliver engaging, student-centered lessons aligned with the our ECE curriculum. Provide instruction in areas such as child development, learning through play, health and safety, communication, and inclusive practices. Facilitate practical training sessions, including observation and practicum support. Evaluate student performance through assignments, tests, and practical assessments. Maintain accurate student records and provide regular feedback. Foster a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative classroom environment. Stay current with developments in the field of Early Childhood Education. Participate in faculty meetings, program development, and continuous improvement initiatives. Create a safe and welcoming classroom environment conducive to learning. Address the concerns of students, including replying to emails and questions regarding ECE.

Qualifications :



Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred). Current and valid ECE certification. Working experience working in early childhood settings is an asset. Previous teaching or training experience is an asset.

Skills



Strong organizational skills to manage lesson plans, student records, and classroom materials effectively. Proficient in using technology for instruction (e.g., Zoom, Moodle, PowerPoint). Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage learners and adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles. Familiarity with classroom management techniques to maintain a productive learning environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English for effective interaction Experience teaching in a private training institution or post-secondary environment. Knowledge of the BC ECE licensing regulations and occupational standards. Familiarity with curriculum development and assessment tools. Ability to mentor students.
Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: $29.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 12 per week

Schedule:

Monday to Friday
