Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires a strong commitment to early childhood education and the ability to engage with children in a meaningful way.

This position is from January 2026 - January 2027.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration. Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and creativity. Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their development. Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues to support a collaborative learning community. Maintain classroom organization and cleanliness, ensuring all materials are safe and accessible for children. Collaborate with other educators to enhance the educational experience and share best practices. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with early childhood education trends.

Requirements

Certified BC ECE Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting Strong understanding of child development principles and age-appropriate teaching methods. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families. Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching young learners. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Certification in CPR and First Aid is mandatory at the time of hiring. Able to lift up to 30lbs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00-$32.00 per hour
