Early Childhood Assistant
Job Description
We are currently looking a Full-time experienced Classroom Assistant to our Shining Stars family. A classroom educator plays a crucial role in making the programs interesting, interactive and inclusive, encouraging a sense of exploration for each and every child.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in the age appropriate environment rating scale annually
Interacts with Ministry staff and other regulators around licensing requirements for inspection purposes
Provides positive social experiences
Facilitates and understanding of a variety of cultures and value systems
Provides a physically safe and emotionally supportive environment
Implement emergency procedures
Attending to the child's physical needs
Provide age-appropriate programs to enhance the children's cognitive, physical, social and emotional development.
Prepare weekly program plans meeting all requirements of curriculum
Daily observations
Maintain child records
QUALIFICATIONS:
ECA
"Experience" in early years education
We have apprentice opportunities for those currently, or soon to be, enrolled in an accredited post secondary institution, and have applied to the Ministry of Colleges and Universities
MINISTRY REQUIREMENTS:
2 Step TB
Updated Immunizations (Tetanus, MMR)
Vulnerable Sector Check
Standard First Aid & CPR Level C
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
