Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the developmental needs of young children in a nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering an inclusive atmosphere for all children, including those with disabilities.

Duties

Assist in planning and implementing daily lesson plans and activities that promote learning and development, utilizing How Does Learning Happen. Provide individual support to children, ensuring their needs are met in a safe and engaging environment. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Supervise children during playtime, meals, and transitions between activities to ensure safety and engagement. Collaborate with teachers and staff to create an inclusive classroom environment that accommodates diverse learning needs. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom, including preparing materials for lessons. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns.

Requirements

Previous classroom experience or background in early childhood education is highly desirable. Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. A genuine love for teaching and working with young children. Experience in caregiving or similar roles that involve nurturing and supporting children's development. Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of all students. Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for fostering a positive learning environment.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.20-$24.87 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
