Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
Observe and assess children's development and behavior.
Provide guidance on social interactions and behavior.
Use various teaching techniques, including role modeling, observing, and questioning.
Develop programs that follow the children's lead, encouraging exploration and learning.
Environment & Safety:
Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
Ensure constant supervision, safety, and well-being of the children.
Maintain compliance with childcare licensing standards.
Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, accident reports, and daily programming.
Communication:
Communicate with parents about their child's progress.
Maintain open and regular communication with co-workers.
Establish good relationships with teachers, staff, and parents across the school community.
Maintain confidentiality at all times.
Attend and participate in program/Centre meetings and events.
Qualifications, Experience, and Attributes:
Experience working with young children (8 months to 3 years).
Understanding of the Child Care Early Years Act (CCEYA) is an asset.
Proven ability to collaborate and contribute as a team player.
Demonstrated work ethic and commitment to professional standards.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
Current Vulnerable Sector Screening Police Record Check.
Current Standard First Aid certification, Level C.
