Overview
We are seeking an Early Childhood Educator/Assistant to work in a support role from
January 5, 2026-February 27, 2026
(with potential to stay on full time/permanently or as supply/on-call afterwards).Duties
Actively supervising children Responding sensitively to the needs of children Assist lead educators in program planning & implementation Assist lead educators with transitions and daily routine Assist lead educators with positive behaviour guidance General cleaning (e.g., sweeping, mopping, wiping tables & shelves, etc.) Maintaining files & documentation (e.g., daily logs, attendance records, etc.) Administering basic first aid as needed Assisting children with diapering/toileting/dressing/eating/etc. Working collaboratively and communicating positively with colleagues & families
Experience
Working with young children
Qualifications
Emergency or standard First Aid & CPR Level C certification Clear Criminal Record & Vulnerable Sector Check Clear Child Abuse Registry Check Level 1, 2, or 3 NS ECE Classification

Pay: $25.11-$31.56 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
