Position Overview

We are seeking a caring, energetic, and reliable

Early Childhood Assistant (ECA)

to support our early learning programs. The ideal candidate enjoys working with young children, can follow classroom plans, and contributes to creating a safe, nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist ECEs in planning and implementing daily activities. Support a caring, safe, and inclusive environment for children aged 0-6. Supervise children during play, activities, and routines. Help with setup and cleanup of materials and learning spaces. Observe and support children's emotional, social, and physical development. Maintain health, safety, and hygiene protocols at all times. Communicate positively with children, families, and team members.

Qualifications

Early Childhood Assistant (ECA) certificate OR experience working with young children. Current

First Aid & CPR Level C

(or willingness to obtain). Clear

Criminal Record Check

with Vulnerable Sector Screening. Ability to work as part of a team and follow direction from ECEs and supervisors. Warm, patient, and nurturing approach with children.

Assets (Preferred but Not Required)

Experience working in a licensed childcare or early learning setting. Knowledge of child development and play-based learning. Experience supporting children with diverse abilities or needs.
