Job Description

We are looking for DZ Fuel Truck Driver- Back up Driver / General Labourer based out of the Tilbury ON area, this is full-time permanent position, direct hire with the company (Not through an agency)



Full-time DZ Fuel Truck Driver- Back up Driver/ General Labourer Day start times



Monday to Friday, 6am- 7am start time to 4:30pm occasional weekends.

General Labour Duties:



Working in the yard moving product, loading and off loading drums, and propane cylinders with proper equipment, lifting, bending and general yard maintenance clean up including snow removal, operating a front-end loader with forks - company willing to train.

DZ Driver Duties:



Providing support as a Back up Fuel Truck Driver, doing deliveries of Fuel, lubricants and Propane to residential and commercial locations

The Fuel Delivery Driver is responsible for the courteous, safe, timely, and efficient loading and delivery of fuels, propane, and related products to customers.

$30.35/hr to start plus benefits.

Must have a minimum of 3 years DZ experience. Must have previous tanker experience. Willing to work a duel role, yard general labourer and back up DZ driver. Able to drive automatic and or manual truck. Previous experience hauling liquid bulk. Fuel haulage and/or delivery experience is highly desirable. PM3, PM4, or PMH licenses are considered an asset. Forklift and Front end loader with forks experience is an asset. Mechanical inclination is required.

Duties:



Assist with loading and unloading trucks using pallet jacks, front end loader with forks, or manual handling as required. Perform general yard maintenance, including organizing pallets, cleaning debris, clearing snow and ensuring a safe work environment. Direct and spot trucks for safe docking movement within the yard. Conduct basic inspections of trailers and equipment for damage or safety concerns. Move trucks in the yard and park them in a safe manner Provide back up support as required as a DZ driver to complete deliveries. Ensure safe and timely delivery of petroleum products and propane to residential and commercial customers. Perform day shifts during the workweek and occasionally on weekends as part of the compensated on-call schedule. Ensure accurate record keeping including product delivery, maintenance of logbooks, and transportation of dangerous goods reports. Perform mandatory circle checks, and maintain the truck, cab, uniform and work location clean. Share all pertinent information with dispatch including improvement suggestions for safety, productivity, and customer satisfaction. Assist with the delivery of lubricants and other products and equipment, when required. Adhere to all legal and company regulations affecting the operation of motor vehicles. Perform other duties as required. Local geographical knowledge is required. Must always conform to the requirements of Ministry of Transportation regulations. Ability to work autonomously and responsibly within a small and cohesive team. Ability and willingness to work in all-weather situations. The Position requires frequent bending and moving heavy loads. Ability to work evenings and weekends, on occasion. Willingness to be cross-trained in delivering multiple products, equipment, etc.

Compensation Package:



$30.35 per hour to start. Fully paid training. Paid overtime after 44 hours. Quarterly safety and yearly performance bonuses. The pay rate is higher if you have at least 3 years of petroleum delivery experience. No charge for uniforms including winter jackets and rain suits. 3 weeks vacation pay.
