Driver

in ARC-1 Company you are responsible for ensuring that your vehicle meets all technical, mechanical and cleaning conditions for the delivery, loading and unloading of materials and correspondence. Following health and safety standards, policies and procedures, as well as scheduled routes.

Duties and responsibilities

Vehicle Operation:

Make sure that the company vehicle is clean, kept in good condition and up to date with service requirements. Ability to drive safety in all weather conditions using defensive driving.

Route Planning:

Plan and follow designated routes, considering factors such as traffic, weather conditions, and delivery schedules. Use navigation tools or GPS devices to optimize routes.

Goods Transportation:

Transport goods, materials, or equipment to specified locations, ensuring proper loading, unloading, and securement. Verify and document the condition of items before and after transportation. Delivery of products and proper paperwork to our customers in a in a courteous and timely manner. Receive, load, distribute and supply shipments in the warehouse

The company will provide training on TDG and WHMIS

Compliance:

Adhere to traffic laws, regulations, and company policies at all times. Maintain a valid DZ driver's license and ensure compliance with any additional licensing requirements. Adhere to Company Alcohol and Drug Policies. Additional duties and tasks may be assigned by Management as necessary to support the team's goals and objectives.

Communication:

Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, or team members to provide updates on delivery status and address any issues.

Vehicle Maintenance:

Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles, such as refuelling, checking fluid levels, and reporting any mechanical issues promptly. Coordinate with the maintenance department for necessary repairs. Complete daily walk around inspection and file paperwork properly.

Record-Keeping:

Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and deliveries. Complete logs and reports as required by regulatory and company policies.

Customer Service:

Provide excellent customer service during deliveries or transportation services. Assist with the loading and unloading of goods when required

6. Qualifications

Educational & Professional Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent experience.

Experience

Minimum 3 years' experience as a DZ Driver.

Skills:

- Ability to lift and carry heavy items if necessary.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Familiarity with GPS devices and navigation tools.

- Attention to details.

- Drive safely and effectively.

- Effective organizational skills.

- Ability to work independently.

- Communicate customers' requirements (orders, inventory levels) to Branch Coordinator.

Othe qualifications

:

- Ability to maintain good communication with dispatch, co-workers, and customers

- Must be punctual, always organized and practice judgement.

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently

40 per week

Schedule

: From 7 am to 4 pm - occasional overtime may be required.
