GUEST SERVICES DUTY MANAGER

POSITION SUMMARY

As an ambassador of Concord Sundial Management Inc., the Duty Manager supports Guest Services, Night Audit, and Valet teams in daily operations, stepping in for the Guest Services Manager when needed. This role ensures seamless guest experiences, assists with managerial tasks, and leads by example.

Guest Services & Leadership



Lead by example in delivering exceptional guest service. Handle escalated guest complaints and ensure timely resolution. Train new team members (Guest Services, Night Audit, and Valet) with managerial support. Maintain clear communication between departments. Step in for the Guest Services Manager as needed and work an opposite schedule when applicable. Be prepared to cover shifts in Guest Services, Valet, or Night Audit if required. Promote teamwork, employee motivation, and high morale.

Operations & Administration



Oversee reservations, audit extranets, inventory, deposits, and commission tracking. Assist with billing issues and support Night Audit with training and task management. Work closely with the Valet team and assist with scheduling when required. Ensure safety and compliance with emergency procedures, including fire panel operation. Monitor key and cash controls. Maintain cleanliness and safety in common areas (lobby, elevators, entryways, parking lot, hallways). Enforce hotel policies and provide support to Housekeeping and Maintenance as needed. Balance guest, employee, and owner interests when making decisions. Resolve conflicts effectively and ensure high guest satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS

Hospitality experience (hotel experience preferred). Familiarity with HMS or similar hotel software is an asset. Availability on weekends and evenings. * Strong organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills with keen attention to detail.
