Job Summary
Under the direction of the Station Manager, the Duty Manager is responsible to efficiently and profitably manage and direct ramp activities by providing a safe, quality product covering a range of ground handling services to its customers.
Job Responsibilities
\xc2\xb7 Accountable for daily operations.
\xc2\xb7 Maintain and improve customer and company safety and quality standards.
\xc2\xb7 Maintain good relations with customers and airport authorities.
\xc2\xb7 Manage and control all staff assignments.
\xc2\xb7 Hold daily briefings with all levels of management.
\xc2\xb7 Provide support to the supervisors.
\xc2\xb7 Coach and train all employees to effectively improve operations.
\xc2\xb7 Ensure workforce adherence to company policies and procedures.
\xc2\xb7 Participate to the disciplinary and grievance process with labor relations.
\xc2\xb7 Ensure that incidents/accidents reports are completed in an adequate and timely manner.
\xc2\xb7 Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Competencies
\xc2\xb7 Minimum 3 years of pertinent experience in the ground handling industry, ramp service.
\xc2\xb7 Relevant experience in personnel management in a unionized environment.
\xc2\xb7 Excellent communication skills (interpersonal)
\xc2\xb7 Languages: French/English (bilingual), oral and written.
\xc2\xb7 Valid Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License and airside permit D/A
\xc2\xb7 Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
\xc2\xb7 Leadership ability.
\xc2\xb7 Customer focus and quality awareness.
\xc2\xb7 Ability to deal with conflict.
\xc2\xb7 Available and flexible to work various shifts (day, evening, night, weekend and holidays) by operational requirements.
