Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes, specifically in and out of gravel pits and residential, commercial sites. This role requires a commitment to safety, adherence to traffic regulations, and the ability to manage freight effectively. The Truck Driver will also be expected to perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance as needed.

Duties

Safely operate a commercial truck to transport freight to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo, utilizing forklifts or other heavy equipment as necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding route changes or delays. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations. Perform minor automotive repairs and maintenance on the truck when required. able to hook and pull pup as well as equipment trailers as required.

Skills

Proficient in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License). Experience in operating heavy equipment is preferred. Strong understanding of freight handling and logistics operations. able to move construction equipment loading and unloading a strong asset Excellent time management skills with the ability to adhere to schedules. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. Attention to detail for maintaining accurate records and ensuring safety compliance.
