Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver - Class 1 to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers, heavy wrecker, deck truck, and roll off truck. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and customer service, with opportunities to work with various types of trailers including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, dump truck, and roll-off trucks. Candidates must possess a valid commercial driver's license and experience in route driving and load & unload operations.

Responsibilities

Safely operate Class 1 tractor-trailers with manual transmission across assigned routes. Drive various types of trucks including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Load and unload freight efficiently while adhering to safety protocols. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations. Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel efficiency. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate with dispatch as needed. Ensure cargo is secured properly during transit to prevent damage or accidents. Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during operations.

Requirements

Valid Class 1 Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record. Experience in truck driving, including route driving and freight delivery. Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks. Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is a plus. Ability to load & unload freight safely and efficiently. Familiarity with forklift operation is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong knowledge of safety procedures related to commercial trucking and cargo handling. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively on the road. Physical ability to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours of driving.
