This position is for the night shift but the chosen candidate will train on day shift. What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do as a Dual Ticketed Tradesperson

  • Work with advanced manufacturing equipment such as robotic systems, presses, conveyors, overhead and transfer systems, etc.
  • Operate within a multi-skilled environment to maintain the plant\xe2\x80\x99s machinery and equipment, while improving processes to minimize disruption to the production line
  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment in accordance with standardized procedures
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment, including PLC and motor controls, safety sensors and relays
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems, cylinders, pumps, motors, spindles, fixtures, slides, valves, gears, switches, drives, bearings, and gears
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices
  • Assist in the inspection, testing, adjusting and evaluation of new systems and ensure they conform to company and industry standards
  • Execute preventative maintenance activities including troubleshooting and repairs to all production equipment and systems in a timely manner
  • Assemble equipment through machine shop methods that include welding, fastening, riveting etc.
  • Operate all machine shop equipment for general modification and equipment fabrication/building
  • Utilize the computerized maintenance management system for processing work orders, PM\'s and updating the equipment databases
  • Support divisional and corporate objectives including health & safety, productivity, continuous improvement, innovation, quality, waste and 5S
  • Rigging and hoisting experience is preferred
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • An Ontario or Inter-Provincial (442A/309A/Red Seal/426A/443A) Electrician and Millwright Certificate of Qualification is required
  • Completion of Apprenticeship is preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience as a Licensed Electrician/Licensed Millwright
  • Ability to work night shifts
  • Demonstrated experience with PLC - Ladder Logic, VFD and Industrial automation to troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills related to troubleshooting equipment issues, preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing/industrial environment
  • Demonstrated experience performing preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross functional team members
  • Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities and working conditions
  • Demonstrated experience using various tools (multimeter, meggar, hand tools, power tools, etc.) to repair equipment
  • Individual who works well with little supervision
  • A background in or affinity toward troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and machine components
  • Passion for teamwork, ongoing learning, continuous improvement, and maintaining a respectful and safe environment

This is a physically demanding position. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (23kg).
