Join On Side Restoration as a Drywaller/Painter and help rebuild homes and businesses after disaster strikes. You'll repair and finish drywall, apply textures, and bring spaces to life with fresh paint.
What you bring as a Drywaller/Painter
5+ years of drywall repair experience (cutting, mudding, sanding, taping, painting)
Brush/roller/spray gun paint experience to finish the area for uniformity and completion
Construction experience and tool proficiency: you have your own tools for the job
Strong communication and people skills
Detail-oriented, quality-driven, safety-focused
Valid driver's licence and clean criminal record (we do check)
English communication skills written and spoken
What you're responsible for...
Measure, cut, install, and repair damaged drywall
Tape, mud, sand, and texture surfaces
Prepare and protect work sites
Prepare surfaces and apply primers, paints, stains, or finishes
Match colors and apply coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray guns
Install wall coverings
Other stuff that'll help you be successful but isn't mandatory:
Drywall Finisher or Plasterer ticket

Tell us about your experience in texturing, in particular ceilings (popcorn, knockdown, orange peel)
Restoration work requires documentation and tracking throughout your workday. Do you have basic computer and/or tablet/iPad experience?
Please list your in-home carpentry/home renovation skills that you would be willing to help the team with (anything from interior rough/trim carpentry to door hanging or installing interior millwork). This is not a requirement, just a bonus!

This position requires lots of standing, crouching, bending, reaching, kneeling, etc. Are you capable of this kind of constant movement?
Are you able to work a Rotating On-Call Schedule (responding to emergency calls after hours)? This is additional to scheduled day time hours. Premium and overtime is paid.
Are you proficient with cutting drywall, hanging, taping, mudding, sanding and finishing? And then completing the drywall repair with fresh paint? We are disaster restoration and we do repairs vs new builds.

drywall repair (tearing out old and replacing with new): 5 years (preferred)
roller and brush painting: 3 years (preferred)
spray gun: 1 year (preferred)
