Z-Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries, seeks a Drywall/Production Worker for our location in Kitchener, ON. This position will perform all drywall related duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Hang drywall on walls and ceilings, cutting to fit
- Patch, tape, sand, mud, and plaster drywall to remove seams and fill gaps
- Develop, maintain, and secure a spare parts inventory of basic maintenance hand and power tools
- Operate mobile equipment, packing and banding equipment
- Follow all established safety procedures
- Supervise drywall staff
- Other duties as assigned
- Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role
- Lead and promote health and safety work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy
- The ideal candidate for the Drywall/Production Worker position will possess a High school diploma or equivalent, and 1+ years of experience
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Knowledge and usage of measuring and testing devices, hand and power tools
- Basic math abilities
- Strong problem solving, communication and organizational skills
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
