Dedicated drywaller - New Construction in Burnaby (Burnaby)

Arkay Contracting is searching for a dedicated drywall person for a multi-family residential construction site in Burnaby near metrotown. We are a construction services provider operating in the lower mainland of BC for 20 years!

Primary Duty:
To complete the tasks outlined by the supervisor to allow construction to move forward on the site. You will be performing various drywall related duties. Boarding, taping, mudding, and finishing.

Health & Entry Requirements:

At least 2 years experience working on construction sites. Commercial or residential, high rise / low rise or town homes & custom homes.
? Capable of lifting 30 lbs. or more repeatedly
? Possess all necessary PPE (hard hat, high visibility vest, steel toe work
boots)
? English skills sufficient to read and understand safety meetings, verbal
instructions, warning labels/signs etc.
? Able to perform manual labour for several hours at a time
? Minimum 18 years old
? Possess a valid Canadian Social Insurance number

General Responsibilities:

? Follow work site/ WSBC safety rules
? Follow instructions from Foreman & Superintendents
? Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
? Ask questions when unsure

Duties & Mandatory skills:

Cutting drywall to size
Boarding
Taping
Mudding
Sanding
Finishing
Possess all your own drywall related tools.

Compensation:

Starting wage between $28-$32 PER HOUR, D.O.E Benefits available after 4 months Company supported training
Other useful skills, but not required:
- OFA level 1 or 2

Job Types: Full-time, Casual

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
