Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drywall Finisher to join our construction team on this project. The ideal candidate will have experience in finishing drywall surfaces to a high standard of quality, ensuring smooth, seamless walls and ceilings for residential, commercial, or industrial projects. This role requires a strong understanding of construction techniques, blueprint reading, and various finishing methods. The Drywall Finisher will collaborate closely with carpenters, plasterers, and other trades to deliver exceptional results on time and within scope. Housing available if required.

Responsibilities

Apply joint compound to drywall seams, corners, and fasteners to create a smooth surface suitable for painting or wallpapering Sand and finish drywall surfaces to achieve a uniform appearance free of imperfections Install corner beads, trims, and other finishing accessories as needed Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications Collaborate with team members to ensure proper installation and finishing of drywall systems Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and industry standards Assist with related tasks such as caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, or fixture installation if required Support other construction activities including framing, painting, or remodeling tasks as necessary

Qualifications

Proven experience in drywall finishing or related construction roles with a strong portfolio of completed projects Knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics, and various building techniques Familiarity with plastering, carpentry (including trim carpentry), metal stud framing, door hanging, tile laying, flooring installation, and other trades is highly desirable Experience in the restoration industry or water damage restoration is a plus Ability to work effectively on construction sites with diverse teams in dynamic environments Strong attention to detail with excellent craftsmanship skills Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods Relevant certifications or licenses related to construction trades are advantageous

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00-$37.69 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
