Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drywall Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for finishing drywall surfaces to a high standard of quality, ensuring smooth, seamless walls and ceilings that meet project specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of various construction techniques and the ability to work efficiently on-site in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in construction site work, blueprint reading, and related trades is highly valued. The Drywall Finisher will collaborate with other trades such as carpentry, plastering, and painting to deliver exceptional results on residential, commercial, or restoration projects.

Responsibilities

Apply joint compound to drywall seams and corners using trowels for smooth finishes Sand and finish drywall surfaces to prepare for painting or further finishing processes Install drywall sheets, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening according to schematics and blueprints Repair water damage or mold issues by replacing or restoring drywall as needed Assist with related tasks such as caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and door hanging when required Work with other trades including framing, masonry, plumbing, and flooring installation to ensure project cohesion Follow safety protocols on-site and maintain a clean work environment throughout the project lifecycle

Qualifications

Proven experience in drywall finishing or related construction trades such as plastering. Knowledge of construction estimating and site-specific safety procedures Familiarity with tools used in drywall finishing including taping knives, sanding tools, and scaffolding Experience with other construction skills such as stucco application, tile laying, metal stud framing, or airless paint spraying is a plus Strong attention to detail with excellent craftsmanship skills Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various construction environments Prior experience in restoration industry work or water damage remediation is advantageous

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.60-$31.95 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
