Title: Drywall Finisher

Employer: F.D. Taping Services

Location: Toronto, Ontario

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-Time (35-40 hours/week), Overtime as necessary

Wage: $33.87/hour

Experience: Minimum of 2 years relevant experience

F.D. Taping Services is a small-sized drywall company that specializes in all aspects of drywall installation in the residential and commercial sectors. F.D. Taping Services is well positioned to expand and is in need of 1 experienced drywall finisher in order to meet the increased demand for its services.

Duties/Responsibilities

- Measure, cut and fit drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings;

- Clean, sand and prepare surfaces;

- Apply joint compound to seams, corners, and screw holes for a smooth finish;

- Tape joints and corners with appropriate materials;

- Mix plaster ingredients in trough to desired consistency;

- Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster using trowels, floats, brushes and spraying equipment;

- Trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces;

- Cure freshly plastered surfaces;

- Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices;

- Perform touch-ups and final finishing work to achieve desired appearance.
