We are a busy alterations and dry cleaning shop dedicated to providing excellent service, quality craftsmanship, and attention to detail. Our team works closely with customers to ensure every garment looks and feels just right.We are seeking an

experienced Assistant Tailor

with a background in both

alterations and dry cleaning services

. The ideal candidate will be skilled in sewing and garment repair, while also having hands-on experience with dry cleaning equipment and garment care.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner. Provide product demonstrations and technical sales support to enhance customer understanding. Process transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system, including cash handling and cashiering duties. Perform clothing alterations, including hemming, resizing, zipper replacements, and repairs. Operate sewing machines, presses, and other tailoring tools. Assist with dry cleaning operations, including spotting, pressing, and finishing garments. Inspect garments for quality and ensure proper handling of fabrics. Provide excellent customer service by listening to client needs and delivering timely results. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction. Demonstrate strong time management skills by efficiently managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Uphold company policies and procedures while maintaining a high standard of customer service.

Skills

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on phone etiquette. roven experience in both

alterations and dry cleaning

(minimum 2 years preferred). Strong sewing and garment repair skills. Knowledge of different fabrics and proper cleaning methods. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good communication and customer service skills. Reliability and strong attention to detail.
Job Type: Permanent

Pay: Up to $18.00 per hour
