Driver

Manager

to join our dynamic and energetic team. A manager, a leader, who thrives in leading by example, has a can-do attitude, who supports & partners with our transportation and safety team in coaching mentoring, and training Drivers across Canada. This role also ensures that the Pro-formance Intermodal Inc. fleet is operating in the safest and most effective and efficient manner and is compliant with all transportation legislation and company policies and procedures. This role will oversee compliance, driver training, provincial regulations, licensing, and HOS issues, while reporting on key metrics and implementing the company's safety plan.

WHAT YOU DO:

Scheduling Drivers training (Including Equipment Training / Driver Orientation)
Thorough knowledge of all DOT Rules and Regulations regarding driving and driver responsibilities

Yard /Truck/Trailer Organizing /Monitoring drivers daily basis

Driver communication/ Drivers Safety meeting

Monitoring drivers for everyday Pre-trip/Post-trip inspections

Regularly communicating with Management, Safety & Compliance, and dispatch

Compliance with all fleet and transport regulations

Work with the Yard/Fleet manager to maintain safety and inspection records

Intermodal (Container work), CN/CP operations knowledge

Coordinate with Maintenance/Shop Department regarding equipment repairs strategy

WHAT YOU BRING:

- 2 - 5 years' experience in a transportation environment.
- Experience working with company drivers, owner operators and third-party carriers.
- Operation and Hours of service experience
- Knowledge of the logistics, supply chain and/or transportation industry.
- Class 1 CDL license preferred with hands on driving experience both mountains and prairies.
- Knowledge of COR certification and auditing preferred
- Understanding of US/Canada driver fleet requirements
